The goop Summer Kit

This week we’ve rounded up our old summer favorites and some new finds that are travel-ready and will get you fully prepared for the beach.

Love, gp

Clothing & Accessories

Orlebar Brown

We love these classically tailored shorts for men and women that are both wearable for everyday and can just as easily be used as swimsuits. Orlebar Brown specializes in men’s shorts, which come in several lengths and cuts (in case you like your man in short shorts) and have two great cuts for women as well.

Turkish-T Bath Towels

Last summer I bought 20 of these Turkish towels (the cotton version), which are incredibly versatile. They make the perfect pool towel but you can also use them as scarfs, wraps, or even as tablecloths. They come in bright colors and in more subtle earthy tones, whichever suits you best.

Sunuva

This new UK company sent my kids a couple of cute swimsuits that they’ve been using ever since. Not only is it incredibly cute stuff, but it’s also sun-proof, designed with SPF +50 protection built in.

Baggu

Baggu has come up with some new designs and sizes (loving the stripes!). The Big Baggu is an ideal tote for throwing all my beach stuff in while my kids can throw theirs in the Baby Baggu.

Skincare

Clarisonic Mia

Leslie Lopez, my makeup artist, has been raving to me about Clarisonic, which uses a sonic frequency to clean and tone skin. The Mia is the perfect size for summer travels and I’ve been obsessed with mine ever since I started using it. I’ve seen a real difference on my own skin.

Clarisonic Opal

Another wonder-gadget from Clarisonic, this one focuses in on fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes by infusing the skin with anti-aging skin serum.

Vapour Organic Beauty

b-glowing introduced us to this line of cosmetics which are organic and easy to pack for summer trips. I especially like their Aura blush which multitasks for eyes, lips, and cheeks and works with any skin tone. Their Luminous Foundation is easy to apply and gives a subtle glow.

Supergoop

Love the name! This SPF 30+ sunscreen works for the entire family and comes in a variety of shapes and sizes depending on your use—spray, cream, serum and wipes, for whatever your needs may be. The wipes are especially good for quickly protecting the kids before they jump in the pool.

Adara

This travel-size pure organic coconut oil works as a gentle makeup remover, a moisturizer, and a hair conditioning treatment. It comes in a variety of scents.

Sara Happ Pink Grapefruit Lip Scrub

This stuff exfoliates and moisturizes lips, leaving them incredibly soft.

Kai Body Butter

A great all around moisturizer (with a lovely scent) for daytime.

Nuxe Huile Prodigeuse

This is one of my secret products. I love Nuxe’s body, hair and face oil that gives a golden shimmer to everything it touches.

Becca Mineral Blush

A great mineral blush to bring out contours on the face and neck.

La Licious

These scrubs for smooth, beach-ready skin come in a huge variety of scents and double up as exfoliators/moisturizers. Use it on your arms and legs and skip the lotion.

Philip B Blue Spray

A soothing mist for cooling down the body on a hot day. This menthol and peppermint spray leaves a nice tingle.

Miracle Skin Transfomer

This foundation is supposed to do exactly what it says, providing antioxidants that hydrate and protect the skin.

Paul & Joe

Paul and Joe has a line of makeup designed especially for the summer. I love all of their cute packaging, especially the blotting papers which come in small packets that are handy to keep in your purse.

Dr. Robin’s Sunscreen for Children

Dr. Robin Schaffran developed an all-natural and chemical-free sunscreen specifically for kids.
