Banana with Chocolate and Walnuts

This simple dessert targets fatigue and wound healing. The walnuts are a great source of protein and are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Serves 1

1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 banana, thinly sliced into rounds

1/2 tablespoon walnuts, chopped

1/3 teaspoon dried turmeric

1. Place chocolate in a small microwave-safe bowl or cup, cover with waxed paper and heat in microwave on low power for 10 second intervals or until chocolate is almost melted (or heat in a double boiler on the stove, as we did). Stir until smooth, then stir in turmeric.

2. To serve, arrange banana rounds on a plate and sprinkle with walnuts. Serve with melted chocolate on the side for dipping or drizzle on top.
