Instant Collection: Wax Posters
The great-art-as-posters trend is nothing new, but with a crazy-good edit and an impressive roster of exclusive images, new-arrival Wax is already a favorite. It might be because they have really great California photographers: A stunning Hunter S. Thompson print (yes, he took photographs, too) from a Big Sur adventure captures all the freedom of the West Coast in the ’60s, while Hugh Holland’s images from ’70s L.A. skateboard culture kind of makes any house look cooler. Founder Camilla Trigano also has two Ai Wei Wei posters from his studies of Tiananmen Square—100% of the profits from its sales benefit organizations that promote freedom of expression.
