How a Newlywed and Restaurant-Loving New Yorker Cooks at Home

At goop, many of us mine the recipes section of the site, putting our own spin on dishes. And talking about it? It’s one of our favorite things to do. (We like to think of it as the goop-y version of water-cooler banter.) Our head of communications Noora, who is based in New York, is always hosting (or attending) a gorgeous dinner party, and she’s one of the first people we ask when we want to know, “What’s the best place to eat right now?” When it comes to her home life, she’s still getting her footing in the kitchen as a newlywed. “After Ryan and I got married, I vowed (and well, he begged) to feel more comfortable in the kitchen,” she explains. “I travel for work a lot, and live in constant fear of getting sick, so I wanted recipes that were low-maintenance, loaded with nutrients, and delicious enough that I wouldn’t be tempted to collapse on the couch with take-out sushi instead.” Here, a few of her recent success stories.
