A New, Non-Toxic (and Vegan!) Nail Salon in NYC

Sandwiched between goop NYC HQ in Union Square and Mario Batali’s Eataly, Sundays is a new neighborhood spot for 10-free, vegan manicures and pedicures. With a spare, Scandinavia-meets-Japan aesthetic, great polish colors, classical music, and amazing clean treatments from removers to lotions, the whole experience is relaxing and easy. (There’s even an upstairs wellness studio for events, or if you just want a little extra privacy.)

We got a deep-dark vampish-colored pedicure—the kind of color that’s both classic and sexy, but typically shows chips instantaneously. We’re happy to report that so far it has lasted three weeks, is still shiny and un-dinged despite a number of yoga classes. (The yoga mat is the natural enemy of the pedicure, sadly). Kind of a freakin’ miracle.

Sundays is quick and relaxing—and as a bonus, we found ourselves transfixed by the woven straw mats (at right) that stack to become seats or side tables: Chic and easy and, well, brilliant.
